Problem 10: The Hymn Boards Again
The last problem showed that we need 188 digit cards to display any possible hymn numbers from our hymn book with 542 hymns on the two hymn boards. A detailed solution to this problem is given above. Suppose we started to use a new hymnbook with 700 hymns. How many extra digit cards would we need (assuming we had the 188 required before)?
